Digital display or numeric pagers alert the user with a vibration or a beep and display a numeric message, usually a telephone number. University Stores has a variety of numeric pagers.  You may select local or statewide paging services.

• In-house/local (20 mile radius) - $5/month

Alphanumeric pagers let the caller leave a text message via a computer. The network pages the user with the full text message. The subscriber chooses what action to take in response to the page rather than having to return all calls.

• Statewide - $7.25/month*

Voice pagers allow the caller to leave a voice message which is then transmitted to your pager. The user is alerted that there is a message by a beep or vibration.  He or she is then able to listen to the caller's message directly on the voice pager. This paging service is for a 20-mile radius of the MSU campus.

Two-way paging is a nationwide system which allows the user to receive and send e-mail from a pager.  The pager is capable of receiving numeric messages, and messages can be sent via a dispatch sevice.
